This larger piece (22″ x 24″) I envisioned as a sort of “dream-scape”… pure fantasy, but based loosely on The Tree of Life imagery and a Henri Rousseau painting of a jungle scene called “The Dream”
This piece contains: 5 birds, 2 monkeys, 2 otters, 4 fish, 3 people, 1 zebra, 1 lizard, 1 lion, 1 snake, 1 turtle, 1 alligator, and countless plants, trees and flowers – all hand sculpted, baked and placed in the scene.
As this was my first large sculpture piece it took months to complete and made me a bit crazy at times, but I’m really happy with the end result. It hangs in my home now and probably won’t be for sale when I finally do some art shows.
